I’m Jay Manley, and I own/manage Dakota Skyhook, LLC, which is a North Dakota-based land investment company which offers land to be purchased, typically on terms since 2004. I started my career as a solution engineer, then moved to a project manager, during which I worked for Microsoft for nearly 14 years. I traveled extensively, both in the US but also internationally. Then I got my real estate licenses for both ND and MN and held them for many years before moving back into software as a COO for one software company, then VP for another. I’m also involved in the Civil Air Patrol in North Dakota as a Director of sUAS (drone) activities across the state and I’m very active in motorsports, drag racing for decades and recently getting into drifting. I also love snowmobiling in the mountains, camping off-grid, and shooting sports. And now I’ve purchased nearly 30 properties and have sold ½ of them. With that kind of experience, you’re guaranteed that I can help you find land at an affordable price for you to move to. I have the experience to help you with every stage of your purchasing decision!
You already proved you can work from anywhere. The question is why you're not.? ? The meeting is at 9am. You're on. You're sharp. You deliver. And when you close the laptop at noon, you're a short walk from the first tee, minutes from the fitness center, and surrounded by the kind of scenery most...
For the person who has spent years looking out the wrong window. There's a moment that happens on certain pieces of land that doesn't happen anywhere else. You walk to the back of the property, you turn around, and something in you goes quiet. Not because nothing is happening - because everything...
The Seven-Year Itch - Scratched. They say seven years is when the itch sets in. The restlessness. The quiet accumulation of small dissatisfactions that suddenly becomes impossible to ignore. The morning you look out your window at the same view you've looked at for years and realize the life you...
Because some pieces of land just grab you. This is one of them. You're not sure exactly when it happened - maybe it was a drive through this part of Oregon, maybe it was a conversation with someone who already made a move like this, maybe it was just a quiet moment when you did the math and...
Nearly 2 acres of open ground near Bonanza, Oregon. Off-grid. Remote road. Room to build the setup you've been planning. You've been paying attention. Not in a panicked way - in a clear-eyed, practical way. You've watched supply chains strain. You've seen what happens when the power goes out for a...
Because the rig, the boat, and the truck deserve a real home - not a prayer that the neighbors don't notice. You've probably run into it before. You find a piece of property that looks promising, but when you start thinking through the setup - where the shop goes, where the equipment lives, where...
Most vacant ask you to imagine what could be there someday. This one gives you something beautiful to enjoy from the very beginning. Picture stepping outside in the early morning with a hot cup of coffee and looking out over the pond behind your property. The water is still. The air is quiet. Birds...
