According to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks website, the reservoir is just below 3,000 surface acres and the surrounding Wildlife Area is around 11,000 acres. Cedar Bluff derives its name from a 1/2 mile of 100-Foot chalk bluffs located on the southwest portion of the lake.
Cedar Bluff offers great fishing opportunities and is open year-round. Walleye, white bass, crappie, bluegill, wiper, catfish, largemouth bass, and small mouth bass are all known fish of the lake.
Location
The cabin is located about 25 minutes from both Ellis and WaKeeney, and roughly 40 minutes from Hays.
